Women in Film

Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI), the non-profit global organization dedicated to empowering, mentoring and promoting women in the entertainment and media industries, held an exciting four-day conference Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Century City.

The summit featured intriguing panel discussions with Commander and Chief’s Geena Davis and CSI’s creator Anthony Zuiker, as well as special screenings and events.

The conference ended with the Women of Achievement Awards ceremony. Sponsored by Filmstew.com, one of the largest entertainment portals in the industry, the organization honored the first family of comedy, Everybody Loves Raymond’s Doris Roberts, Patricia Heaton, and Monica Horan for their years of total service to the television and film industry and their comedic genius and timing.

Ray Romano presented his leading ladies the prestigious award, which is only given to women who have attained significant accomplishments in the film or television industry.
