Playboy October Cover Release Party

Body paint and dark tans covering beautiful bodies, VIP lounging, and an appearance by the Don himself: Hugh Hefner (with a gorgeous entourage of Playmates in tow, of course) – these were all the driving engines behind Playboy's October cover release party.

The ultra-chic, Hollywood-based event was put together for Playboy by Sunset Tan in conjunction with Sunset Entertainment Group. Held at the ever-sophisticated Montmarte Lounge in Hollywood, Playboy once again proved that it hasn't lost any of its famous mystique - if anything, that mystique has grown through the years.

Aside from enjoying the music and beautiful crowd, the event launched Playboy's October issue, featuring "Girls from the Pac-10" decorated with alluring body paint, hand-drawn by artist Mark Frazier, whose body art photographs decorated the walls of the event. The same issue also features cover model, Amanda Paige, and an interview with comedian George Carlin. As one can expect, the party filled Montmarte's stylish lounge wall-to-wall with the beauty of Playboy. A hopping DJ, Playmate dancers, and Frazier's painted girls all kept the party grooving late into the night. Playboy founder and icon Hugh Hefner was, of course, in attendance with his famous entourage of gorgeous women, promoting the new issue.
