Oscar® Suites Galore

In the frenzied week leading up to the Oscars®, the nation’s best designers, make-up artists, hair stylists, and estheticians come together to make the most beautiful people in Hollywood hotter than ever!!!

Before the big night, celebs were ushered to LA’s finest hotels where pre-Oscar®

suites provided A-listers with everything they would need for the big night—from gowns, tuxedos, jewelry and shoes, to facials, massages, and hair styling!

From Monday, Feb. 21, to Saturday, Feb. 26, the Pacific Design Center hosted the Red Carpet 2005 Oscar® suites, a week-long celebration providing a wide array of luxury products and services for celebrities, industry leaders and VIPS. To kick off the week, there was a celebrity fashion show, which benefited the Dream Foundation and featured all the participating designers and artists including Cesar de la Parra and Stuart Weitzman. The Private Designer Suites included Cesar De La Parra gowns, Roberto Coin fine jewelry, Eduardo Lucero gowns, David Meister couture, David Galan evening bags, Iridesse fine pearls for Tiffany & Co., Meyers Swiss watches, Daniel K fine jewelry, Inge Christopher, Whiting and Davis handbags and much more! The Salon included Marc Anthony hair stylists, Stila Cosmetics, Z Bigatti skin care, Damone Roberts brow sculpting, manicures and pedicures from China Glaze, body wraps by Suddenly Slimmer, Havaianas flip flops, Melting Pot jeans, furs by Aspen Fashions, Tempurpedic mattresses and delicious Comparte’s truffles.

The sleek Gentleman’s Suite featured the Crown Royal Barbershop, where Hollywood men were pampered with haircuts from some of today’s hottest barbers and shaves from King of Shaves. The Gentlemen’s Suite also included Sean John fine tuxedos, suits, shirts, and ties, Zino Platinum cigars and Taryn Rose men's shoes. The Lounge, presented by Premiere and Elle, featured a DJ and Crown Royal drink specials throughout the week, water by Evian, and tea from Carpe Diem. Among the celebrities to kick back a few drinks at the Lounge were Tom Green, Keith David (Barbershop), Willie Garson (Sex and the City), Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives), Rachel Shelly (The L Word), Catherine Bell (Jag), actor/musician Hal Sparks, singer Cheryl Lynn and hip hop personality Fonsworth Bentley.

Meanwhile, on Wilshire Boulevard, the Regent Beverly Wilshire hosted seven luxury suites to pamper and style Hollywood’s famous faces. At their suite at M Aesthetics Spa, stars enjoyed surgery-free “face lifts” courtesy of Lift 6, eyelash extensions, airbrush tanning by Turbine tan and reflexology. The Regent provided complimentary treatment certificates to A-listers like Annette Benning, Cate Blanchett, Virginia Madsen, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx. Other celebs who stopped by included Patricia Heaton, Paula Abdul, Regina King, Star Jones Reynolds, Eva Longoria, Natasha Henstridge, Peter Gallager and Angela Basset.

Stuart Weitzman also hosted his highly popular suite at the Regent. Kate Winslet, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Barbara Streisand, Joan Rivers and others wore his specially designed heels on the red carpet on Oscar® night. Each year, Stuart Weitzman creates a special shoe just for the Oscars®. This year, his “priceless” Oscar® shoe featured a pair of Marilyn Monroe’s personal Swarovski crystal earrings set into two silk roses. Regina King, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Ray, had the pleasure of walking these fabulous shoes down the runway on Oscar® night. Regina was also a huge fan of Lauren Scherr Handbags, which she also visited at the Regent suites. She carried one of the bags at the Oscars® and at her tribute dinner. Felicity Huffman, Star Jones and Daisy Fuentes also picked up bags by Lauren Scherr. Also available at the suites were fabulous jewelry pieces by Rafinity and Chris Aire, Robert Marc eyewear, manicures by Nailtini, beauty treatments by Mario Badescu Skin Care and ColorScience Mineral Make-up. At the top floor, the Natural Colored Diamond Association features sparkling pieces from a handful of jewelry designers. VIPs enjoyed delectable delights by Zone Chefs and Bacardi Big Apple martinis.

For the fourth consecutive year, Estée Lauder invited nominees to relax and prepare for their big night with a personalized experience at the exclusive Estée Lauder Beauty Spa in the penthouse suite at The Regent Beverly Wilshire. Estée Lauder brought together the most trusted beauty gurus, massage therapists and nail technicians to form the ultimate “Dream Team,” which included celebrity make-up artist Paul Starr and top Hollywood hairstylist Mark Townsend. Oscar® heavies that received hair and nail treatments included Morgan Freeman, Hilary Swank, Cate Blanchett, Virginia Madsen, Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz.

From Feb. 24 to Feb.26, the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills turned their penthouse into a palace for pampering as TMG presented their Luxury Suite 2005. Among the fabulous swag passed out, there was bling provided by Debra Savage for 1700 Ocean, West Time watches, Sonal Adhikari beaded handbags, replenishing facials by Medi-Spas (whose fans include Vivica A. Fox, Ali Landry and Pat O’Brien), St. Tropez Body Bronzing Treatments, Posh Pooch pet accessories, G.M. Collins skincare for men, tooth whitening, T. Le Clerc makeup, plastic surgery consultation with Dr. Renato Calabria, Blowfish sushi, Fiji Water, G.H. Mumm Champagne and much more!

As if this weren’t enough, celebrity hairstylist Frederic Fekkai and international Chanel make-up artist Susan Sterling offered star-studded treatment at the Frederic Fekkai Salon and Spa on Rodeo. Frederic Fekkai’s top notch team created Oscar® perfect hair, while Chanel’s make up team offered makeovers and unveiled their latest beauty products. VIPs enjoyed Gran Centenario tequila cocktails and sipped Perrier Jouet champagne. All guests feasted on healthy meals by Café 440. Guests included Best Supporting Actress Nominee Sophie Okonedo, Golden Globe Best Actress Nominee Emmy Rossum, Nicolette Sheridan, Lisa Rinna, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cheryl Hines and Kathy Griffin, among many more.

Finally, on Friday, Feb. 25, Bluefish Concierge, one of the top luxury concierge companies in the world, hosted the extravagant “Make the Discovery” Oscar®

retreat. The event took place in a three-story Hollywood Mansion and featured the finest in lifestyle services for Oscar® nominees. At the estate, Levinson Jewelers displayed $7 million in Oscar® jewels including the Million Dollar Baby charm bracelet. Also featured were Guess? eyewear and charms from Psychic Girl. The retreat featured Perrier Jouet champagne and a caviar tasting bar presented by Tsar Nicolai caviar company. Among the guests who pampered themselves with massages, pedicures, acupuncture and hairstyling were Best Actress Nominee Catalina Moreno Sandino, Leelee Sobieski, Nick Carter, Keith Carradine and countless other VIPS!

What a week! With all the pampering provided by these amazing suites, celebs were guaranteed to look their best for the all important walk down the red carpet on Oscar
