Fashionistas

LA's fashion forward came out to celebrate the launching of Lynn Messina's exciting new novel, Fashionistas, at Fenix Restaurant at the Argyle Hotel in Hollywood. Producer Christine Peters (who also produced the hit movie How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days) has already begun turning the comic tale of a New York fashion designer into a major motion picture with the help of teen star Lindsay Lohan. Peters hosted the soirée, commenting, "It's all about building excitement for this project." In attendance was the always fashionable Paris Hilton along with Natasha Henstridge (Species), Michelle Rodriguez, Lacey Chabert (Party of Five), and Neal McDonough. Some of today's true fashionistas, including Noni of Petra Zilla, Linda Loudermilk, fashion journalist Booth Moore and top interior designer Dodd Mitchell, were also in attendance, along with Paramount execs Pam Abdy and Wendy Japhet and film writers Jim Berg and Stan Zimmerman. NEXT models graced the room bedazzled in de Grisogono jewels and dressed by celebrity stylist George Blodwell. Publishers Weekly called Fashionistas, "Wickedly entertaining…Messina's prose is witty and assured and her novel is an irresistible frolic." With the help of Christine Peters and Lindsay Lohan, the motion picture is sure to be just as wickedly entertaining!
