The Emmys and Emmy Suites

The Emmy Suites were out in full force for this past awards show. These luxurious suites help the stars (and would-be stars) prep for the big award show and also, of course, to score some fun swag. Where would Hollywood be without them?

We start at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, where the 'Fashion, Jewelry and Beauty Suite' took court. Guests sauntered through four rooms filled with more than 30 distinctive displays. Songstress Patti LaBelle, 'The Soprano's Lorraine Bracco and Edie Falco, Sex and the City's John Corbett and NYPD Blue hunk Henry Simmons all came away with elegant goodies. Included were the lovely mystic jeweler's Shankari's talisman pendants and jewels, which are quickly becoming the must-have of the celebrities. Also included were Katherine Bauman luxurious crystal handbags, James Garner's daughter, Gigi Garner, and her precious stone wearable art, the always elegant Isabella Fiore's handbags and shoes, Mya Varma's hand- painted accessories, Sage's vintage whimsical jewels and clothing, Udi Behr's Love/Peace/Hope collection and the elegant Roberta Chiarella's rainbow Swarovski crystal jewelry designs. You could also get facials, eyebrows and make-up by Point De Vue Salon.

Also at the Four Seasons was the 'Johnnie Walker Suite' for men only. Queer as Folk's Hal Sparks and Joan of Arcadia's Jason Ritter had shaves, massages, and the other stuff men do when they pamper themselves.

Closer to the Sunset Strip, the Mondrian Hotel and Asia de Cuba Restaurant hosted 'Occasion Of Opulence.' This luxurious event featured gift certificates to everything from Lasik doctor to the stars and power A-listers, Dr. Kerry Assil, to Robert Marc's must-have sunglasses.Trilogy spa provided foot rubs for the weary and fun velvety pillow and candles were all to be had.

We now move east to a private estate in West Hollywood, where 'The Silver Spoon Hollywood Buffet' dished out their goodies. Celebs and the "in" Hollywood crowd all came to partake of facials from MB York, collagen lip plumping, products from Jacqua and Principessa to jewelry from Jill Alberts, At Choo and Maya Brenner. Avon provided make-up applications, manicures, and pedicures. Fun pajamas by Jamatex and cute hats and shirts by Lure were a big hit with the A-list crowd. Also in the mix were Edmiston yacht charters, Buffalo Jeans and Hasbro toys. Guests also munched on Isabella's Cookies, Cold Stone ice cream and topped it off with Canvas wine. This lounge was not all fluff; autographed donated items from the buffet were auctioned off as part of Hollywood's Helping Hands: A Celebrity Art Auction to benefit PEP-the Pediatric Epilepsy Project at UCLA. Beverly Hills 90210's Tori Spelling, Desperate Housewives Teri Hatcher and Nip and Tuck's Roma Maffia all made the scene at the Silver Spoon.

Further west, in the heart of Hollywood, was our final suite, 'The Style Lounge,' which boasted hair styling by Chaz Dean Studio (where it was held,) collagen facials by Matty's Skincare, airbrush tanning by Portofino Sun Spa, spiritual readings by the talented Michelle Morgan, reflexology and iridology readings by Cote D' Azur Spa, and make-up consultation by Maven cosmetics. Comedian Andy Dick, My Big Fat Greek Wedding's' Nia Vardolos, Will and Grace's Shelley Morrison and Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines all walked away with sneakers, jewelry and lots and lots of cool clothing.

So, there you have it! The wrap up on where the Hollywood crowd goes to get pampered and spoiled for yet another endless award show season. Rest assured, POWER will be covering the next batch. Golden Globes and Oscars®, here we come!
